「蓬莱館 の歴史」
何世紀も前から入湯客が絶えることなく、古来その名称を「蓬莱の湯」から「蓬莱湯」へとそして明治の初めに「蓬莱館」へと順次変えていきました。現在地には明治６年に移築し以後増築を重ね現在に至ります。南アルプスの谷間で由緒ある歴史の宿です。
　温泉は１００％自然湧出の４２℃で、加温、加水はしていません。山吹色の湯の花が浮かび、かけ流しです。
　春は野鳥のさえずり、ふきのとう、コゴミ、たらの芽。夏は冷たい水、おいしい空気、昆虫採集、ヤマメ、イワナ等川魚料理。秋は紅葉、キノコ、そぞろ歩きも良し。冬は窓の雪と猪、鹿、野鳥等の鍋料理。四季折々にお楽しみいただけます。

[History of Horaikan] For centuries, visitors to the bathhouse have never ceased, and the name was changed from "Horai-no-yu" to "Horaiyu" and then to "Horaikan" at the beginning of the Meiji era (1868-1912). It was moved to its current location in 1873, and has since been expanded to the present day. It is an inn with a long history in the valley of the Southern Alps.

　In spring, you can enjoy the chirping of wild birds, butterbur sprouts, coriander, and taranobuds. In summer, there is cold water, delicious air, insect collecting, and river fish dishes such as landlocked salmon eggs and char. Autumn is good for autumn leaves, mushrooms, and strolling. In winter, snow on the window and wild boar, deer, wild birds, etc. are cooked in a pot. You can enjoy the four seasons.
