河原を掘ると名前のごとく、河原から温泉が湧き出る全国でもめずらしい天然露天風呂です。
山水館 川湯みどりやは、川湯温泉で唯一、館内から直接川湯温泉をお楽しみただける宿です。
上がり湯をせずに出れば、いつまでもポカポカして湯冷めしにくい川湯の湯をぜひご堪能ください。

Baths: Large baths (one each for men and women), open-air baths (mixed bathing)
The open-air baths are mixed bathing for men and women.Women are provided with yukata (bathrobe) exclusively for the open-air baths in the changing rooms. Please enter the baths while wearing the yukata. Men should wear a towel while bathing.

〜About Kawayu Midoriya - Kawayu Onsen, Sansuikan
The Oto River is a tributary of the Kumano River.
As the name suggests, hot spring water gushes out from the riverbed when the riverbank is dug, making this a rare natural open-air bath in Japan.
Sansuikan Kawayu Midoriya is the only inn in Kawayu Onsen where you can enjoy Kawayu Onsen directly from inside the inn.
Please enjoy the hot water of Kawayu Onsen, which will keep you warm and cool if you leave the bathhouse without taking a bath.
